Directions: From the Pittsburgh International Airport/South Hills The highway from the airport to Pittsburgh is called the Penn-Lincoln Parkway. It is usually referred to as The Parkway. At various points along the Parkway, it is marked as Route 60, 22-30, and 279. As you travel toward the city, you will go through the Fort Pitt Tunnel. You will exit the tunnel onto the Fort Pitt Bridge. Get into the far left lane and exit onto the Fort Duquesne Bridge. On the Fort Duquesne Bridge, get into the far right lane and take the “Route 579 to 279” exit to the right; then take the next exit marked as “Chestnut Street/Route 28.” Follow the signs to Route 28. Take Route 28 to the Highland Park Bridge exit. Stay in the right lane on the bridge. When you get off the bridge and bear right, you will see Butler Street. Make a left turn at the first light onto One Wild Place (which takes you through the zoo). Bear right where the sign says East Liberty (you will see a wall decorated with zoo scenes). One Wild Place turns into Mellon Street as you exit the park area. Mellon Street vears sharpley right and becomes Mellon Terrace for about one block. Then you have no other option but to turn left onto North Negley Avenue. Pass
Callowhill and Elgin Streets. Turn left
off of Negley at the next street, which is Bryant Street. The Nuin Center is number 5655 on your left
just before the first stop sign (which is Mellon Street). The Nuin Center is a large white building
surrounded by a wrought iron fence. Follow the turnpike to the Route 28 exit. Take Route 28 South, then follow the above directions. If
coming from the West on the turnpike, exit the turnpike at Route 19 South. Go a short distance to Route 79 South, and
then follow directions for 79 South. From Route 79 South If approaching Pittsburgh from the South, exit Route 79 at Pittsburgh onto the Penn-Lincoln Parkway West, which is also labeled Route 22/30 and Route 279. From here follow the above directions from the airport. From Route 79 North If approaching Pittsburgh from the North, just past the Wexford/Route 910 exit, the road will divide. Stay to the left onto the Route 279 exit. Follow Route 279 to the Route 28 exit. After exiting, you will go straight through several intersections until you come to the intersection with Route 28/Ohio River Blvd., where you will turn left onto Route 28. Follow directions from Route 28 under the above airport directions. From the Parkway East Exit at the Edgewood/Swissvale exit. Turn right onto South Braddock Avenue, and at the third red light, turn onto Penn Avenue. Go straight through the circle, staying on Penn Avenue. Turn right onto Highland Avenue. Follow Highland Avenue past Stanton Avenue to the stop sign at Bryant Street and turn left onto Bryant Street. (Note: One block before this intersection there will be a Bryant Street on the right and a Bryant Court on the left; this is NOT the turn you want.) At the end of a several-block-long business district, you will see the Nuin Center on your right. From the East End of Pittsburgh Take Fifth Avenue or Forbes Avenue to Negley Avenue. Turn right onto Negley towards Highland Park, and turn right onto Bryant Street (note the above directions from the Parkway East).
